Just in time for 2007, HK Knives introduces a new assisted opening knife. The 14460 HK Nitrous™ Blitz™ incorporates a new Benchmade pioneered technology that assists the blade open : Nitrous. As if this patented innovation was not enough, Benchmade bundled tons of high-end materials such as textured G10 handle scales, 154CM blade steel and 6A1-4V titanium liners into this knife.

The Nitrous assist-opening mechanism uses the inner-liner to boost the blade open. For added control the user must rotate the blade open to beyond a 30 - degree angle before the assist engages. At this point the torsion arms take over and continue the blade opening process independently. Simply put: the knife explodes open one-handedly in a flash when you need it most.

The Blitz is extraordinarily feather light in the hand, weighing only 2.70 ounces it is easy to carry without feeling cumbersome. With a total thickness of 0.430” the Blitz is also remarkably thin for an assisted opening knife. With an open blade length of 3.40” and a closed length of 4.60” the Blitz is extremely versatile for multiple applications. There is a single thumb stud on the blade that enables the user to help initiate the blade opening. The Blitz comes with a removable pocket-clip for easy and discrete carry. There are multiple blade options such as black BT coatings with or without partial serrations and satin finish with or without partial serrations.

The new HK Blitz is built to last, much the same as the Heckler & Koch no compromise attitude. This knife can go anywhere and perform under a multitude of harsh circumstances.
