The Colonial Knives Automatic rescue hook pulls its design ideas from the very first Colonial automatics issued to all military aircraft ejection seat survival kits. The primary purpose of the auto rescue tool is to helped the downed pilot or aricrew member get out of any dangerous situation they may encounter behind enemy lines. Today, Colonial offers a number of different auto tools based on the exact US Government specifications as the current military issued M724 rescue knife. The auto rescue tool is designed for firefighters, police and EMT personnel and meets the demands set forth in those professions. Available in several handle colors, the auto rescue tool features a push button actuation with an integrated safety to prevent accidental opening in the pocket. Each is equipped with a black anodized pocket clip situated for tip-down carry. The hook is constructed of corrosion resistant stainless steel and is ground to wicked sharpness with a blunt tip for safety. Handle constructed of Ribbed Isoplast, the same material used in hardhat construction. Hex screw construction for ease of disassembly and complete with glassbreaker and lanyard hole.
