About
Pre-Orders
This knife is an actual
copy of a typical Bowie knife of the 1830s. The story of the Bowie began
on a sandbar of the Mississippi River above Natchez, Mississippi on September
19, 1827. A brawl that eventually involved Col. James Jim Bowie,
who, having been shot and stabbed, successfully defended himself killing
Major Norris Wright and wounding Alfred Blanchard with what onlookers described
as a large butcher knife. This and other tales of Bowies
abilities with a knife led to the widespread popularity of what became known
as the Bowie knife.
